We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join Redwood Investment Management, in our Scottsdale, AZ office. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, reconciling and reporting daily mutual fund sales data as well as maintaining all sales and assets related data. The skills that are critical to success will include, mining and organizing sales data, creating and maintaining data integrity processes, creating reports and identifying trends for management. This position requires a demonstrated track record working with data processing, strong data observational and analytical skills, outstanding organizational skills, and a superb attention to detail.  Experience that will be helpful in this role include previous mutual fund and/or asset management sales reporting.  Familiarity with systems such as FundServ, DTCC, and mutual fund reporting portals of Institutional RIA Custodians such as Charles Schwab, Fidelity, and TD Ameritrade.

Redwood’s strategies are primarily quantitative and focus on a macro level view. Our offices are in Scottsdale, AZ. & Los Angeles, CA. This role is in our Scottsdale, CA office.

The following duties are generally representative of the level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:


Job Responsibilities:

Collect and parse data from various custodians/broker dealers to identify sources of mutual fund sales and entering data into corresponding and correct salesforce locations.

Keeping track of and reconciling all sales data to ensure quality and accuracy.

Data cleansing of MQL’s (Marketing Qualified Leads) – correcting, filling in missing information, ETC.

Creating, documenting, and maintaining processes pertaining to Salesforce, including the curation of dashboards, be the quarterback and point of contact for Salesforce database related projects.

Set up and prepare regular sales and marketing data reports. (Automate the report process, scraping data from financial portals, build up customized ETL pipeline)

Monitor and analyze data metrics and trends to prepare for management.

Proactively shape new ways to track, visualize, and unlock insights around marketing and sales.

Any other ad-hoc projects to enhance Redwood’s ability to track and analyze potential and realized sales.

Design and maintain MySQL database.


Candidate Requirements:

2+ year(s) relevant experience working with sales data.

Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics preferred.

Extremely competent in Excel; Working knowledge of VBA; Experience with Solver add-in.

Programming Language: C, C++, Python (experience with pandas, selenium), Java.

Strong experience with Salesforce and Pardot, or very similar programs.

Working knowledge of database structuring (database design) and querying using SQL (MySQL workbench) or similar languages; understanding of API’s.

Strong organization and prioritization skills, demonstrated ability to work efficiently.

Strong active analytical curiosity and creativity, as well as flexible critical thinking and problem solving.

Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
