Director of Marketing

Step into a pivotal role and join a talented team of professionals managing and developing the marketing strategy at Redwood Investment Management. As Director of Marketing, you will deliver Redwood’s value proposition in the marketplace and develop end-to-end marketing strategies to support key business objectives. You will work closely with Leadership to develop a strategic roadmap for identifying and prioritizing marketing needs during a key period of growth for the firm.

The ideal candidate brings a diverse skill set —customer insights & behaviors, digital strategy, program design, measurement—to develop innovative solutions to complex marketing problems.  We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, an out of the box thinker who can design and drive strategy and figure out how to successfully achieve goals with finite resources. This person will have exceptional project management skills, outstanding organizational skills, management skills, a strong eye for design, and superb attention to detail. Experience working in financial services is a plus.

Redwood Investment Management is an institutional SEC registered investment adviser providing leading edge investment solutions to clients and investment advisers across a variety of vehicles including the Redwood mutual funds, separately managed accounts, sub-advisory relationships, unified managed accounts, investment model platforms, a hedge fund, and a series of ETFs. Redwood’s strategies are primarily quantitative and focus on a macro level view. Our offices are in Scottsdale, AZ. & Los Angeles, CA. This role is in our Scottsdale, AZ office.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing a team of marketing professionals that is curating marketing ideas and collateral across different mediums and platforms including but not limited to print, digital, websites, email campaigns, digital marketing platforms, and any other marketing distribution to drive awareness
  • Leading all marketing projects adhering to tight timelines and deliver on a challenging project pipeline
  • Overseeing the process for creating content and recurring regular marketing pieces distributed to financial advisors, including performance fact sheets, white papers, brochures, newsletters
  • Directing integrated video production and editing either inhouse or third party (Loom)
  • Designing, creating, updating, and managing presentations for Redwood’s client calls, webinars, and presentations, through programs such as PowerPoint and inDesign.
  • Coordinating marketing materials and branding for events and conferences
  • Delivering actionable implementation roadmaps for each initiative, ensuring new concepts & capabilities are staffed, absorbed, and brought to market
  • Collaborating with firm leadership on vision and goals, projects, and initiatives
  • Developing a strategic vision of the digital marketing functionality needed to perform key marketing activities effectively and efficiently

Candidate Requirements:

  • 7 - 10 years of marketing experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills managing internal and external stakeholders to maximize efficiency
  • Accomplished marketing generalist with intermediate-to-expert understanding of a broad set of disciplines
  • Experience with gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative data, and connecting data to strategic solutions.
  • Knowledge of CRM/Marketing Automation Systems (SalesForce/Pardot)
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, multi-task, manage competing priorities and communicate project updates effectively and seamlessly
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High standard of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Extremely competent in PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, inDesign, Photoshop, etc.
  • Knowledge of the asset management business is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
